Are you ready for 388 million Chinese internet users on mobile?
The biannual report reveals that while the number of desktop internet user is still on the rise and has reached 380 million, the size of mobile internet user has surpassed the number of desktop internet user by 8 million and reached a total of 388 million, marking a significant milestone in the development of mobile consumer market in China.
China is one of the largest consumer markets in the world and with economic uncertainty in U.S. and Europe, marketers are now weigh heavily on the Chinese market. Marketers in China seem to be already responding to such change in mobile behavior. According to eMarketer, China ranks second in mobile Ad spending with nearly $46 billion and is predicted to reach nearly $53 billion in 2013. Hong Kong markets should bear these numbers in mind when they are targeting at the Chinese market.
